On Shrove Tuesday parishioners and friends gathered for an evening of fun fellowship and most of all...pancakes! Hunter Locks, Stephen Jerzerwski, Lee Engels and others acted as pancake chefs along with other kids and adults. Pancake toppings included blueberries, strawberries, fluff, chocolate chips, m&m's nuts and much much more. Participants also enjoyed biscuits and gravy, ham, sausage, pigs in blankets and King's cake. Masks and beads were worn in true Mardi Gras fashion! A highlight of the evening was the annual pancake flipping race in which children challenged adults, vestry members challenged one another and clergy got the usual beating from the kids of the parish! The vestry spouses race was enjoyed by all. Happy Lent everyone! Hope to see you at our weekly Wednesday evening dinners preceded by evening prayer.
